Liebster Award!

I was nominated for an award! YAY!

This was actually a while ago now - but as I only have 20 followers now, you can see where the nominating so many people problem comes in when they have to have so many followers!

So first of all, thank you so much to Kelly from Kell's DIY Nails and also Elizabeth from Gypsy V Talks Beauty for nominating me in the first place!

As Kelly nominated me first, I'm going to answer those questions first.

The Liebster Award is given to blogs and bloggers that have fewer than 200 followers and are deserving of recognition and encouragement. There are four rules I must complete in order to finalize my Liebster Award:
1. Each person must post 11 things about them.
2. Then you must answer the questions that the nominator sent you, plus create 11 new questions for bloggers you nominate.
3. Choose 11 people and link their blogs in yours.
4. Go to their page and let them know you nominated them!

Kelly's questions:
1. What was the very first polish you posted on your blog?

 Cagedbird Lacquer - Deep Sea Girl. Still one of my indie favourites :) 2. What inspired you to start a blog? 

 I recently got massively into nail polish after 23 years of heavy duty nail biting. I just wanted something for myself to give myself some me time, and painting my nails and sharing them with even just a few people is how I want to do that :) 3. What is your favorite polish?

 I don't honestly think I could name just one, but my current fave has to be Zoya - Storm. 4. What is your favorite type of Nail Art?

I love dotticures, half moons and fishtail braids. Half moons are my go to fave though as they're much easier! 5. What is one thing you would like to improve on?

All nail art - in particular anything free hand as i'm very shaky and my lines are chunky and very unprofessional looking! 6. Do you have any tattoos?

Not a one.. i have this little voice in my head that says tattoos will identify me.. pretty sure my fingerprints and teeth can do the same but I still have those! I just don't find tattoos appealing. 7. What is the most 'Extreme' thing you have ever done?

Picked up a hitchhiker in my car. Got berated later from the OH that he could've been a mass murderer.. and all i could think was that it was REALLY heavily raining and the poor man was very cold and wet! 8. Are you a good dancer?

 Hahahahaha! No :( I am awkward, and when drunk I am just terrible! 9. What is your favorite beauty product and why?

I love Cutie Balm by The Nail Junkie and OPI Nail Envy. Theyve both improved my nails so much - I'm so proud of them! 10. Do you prefer to go out or stay in?

Depends where going out - for meals, going out.. for drinking, staying in. Old before my time! 11. What is your favorite thing about yourself? 

Probably my nails! I've always loved my hair too, although its not anything 'special' - its just.. me. :)

Elizabeth's questions:

1. What is your favourite polish brand?

I can't say that I have a complete favourite - I love them all for different reasons - my favourite colour atm is Zoya Storm, but I love China Glaze for staying power and Ciate for amazing drying times.

2. What is the most you will pay for a bottle of nail polish?
The most I have ever paid is around £14 as it had to be shipped from Harlow and Co. Its called 'A Tisket A Tasket' by Femme Fatale Cosmetics. I haven't even worn it yet, around 2 months later :/
3. Have you tried the handmade ones from sellers on etsy?
Loads! I love them! My current lemming for new etsy sellers is Sonnetarium who has some beautiful spring polishes out. My first indie brand was Cagedbird Lacquer and is still one of my favourites!
4. What technique do you despise and wish never existed?
Hard to say - Watermarble is so hard, but i loved the results.. I'm rubbish at tape mani's though, so thats top of my list atm!
5. What is your favorite color combinations for you nails?
I love anything blue or mint green atm! Pastels all the way!
6. Do you ever ask for polishes for gifts? or do you give them as gifts?
Yes to both - last one I gave however was not appreciated. I was gutted as I loved all the polishes and very nearly kept them - should've trusted my gut and kept them :( what a waste!
7. Do you think polish looks good on men?
Never really seen it.
8. Is there a type of polish or finish you haven't seen that you wish were created?
Not that I can think of - there are so many! I love the look of the new texture polishes.
9.Do you watch beauty videos on Youtube?
I waste hours of my life doing just that! Doesnt help my skill though :/ still terrible!
10. Do you subscribe to any monthly sample service?
Nooooooooo omg I wish Julep or Square Hue were available in the UK :'(
11. Have you ever done a daily nail art challenge, if so do you enjoy changing your nails everyday?
Doing 2 at the moment and beginning to dislike it. I love changing my nails but I have been sad to change my nails so soon on the very good days as I've had to change them for the next day. Luckily I pre-prepped some, so I've had to change less often. But a lovely mani only lasting for 2 days is still a travesty!
