Datyorkloves - Day 10 - Inspired by a Participant

As soon as I saw this dotticure, I loved it.

I've taken parts of it to make my own design, but tried to keep the accent nail the same.

The colours I used are:

Sally Hansen - Greige Gardens
Zoya - Purity

Datyorkloves - Day 9 - Ombre or Gradient

I am still rubbish at gradients, but here is my effort for today!

Datyorkloves - Day 8 - Splatter

I tried and failed at this for the Jilltastic nail comp, so I had another go with some new polishes. The end result was a bit gloopy but I did like the colours together! :)

Datyorkloves NAC - Day 7 - Tape Mani

I still cant do these but i finally got some scotch tape which has really improved what i can manage! Dahlia (datyorkloves - host) has done a lovely heart mani for this, so i had a go - nowhere near as good but proud for my first attempt despite a little leakage :)

This is also on my 'cackhand' as i'm lefthanded - hardest thing was trying to pose and photograph - too hard for a dork like me! :p i don't do backwards well haha!

Polishes used: Rimmel 60 seconds - Torrid and Ciaté Ladylike Luxe.

This was sooo hard! I tried about 5 different attempts and ended up settling on this as i had had enough haha!

I saw something similar to this on Distinkt Nails. I really loved hers and wanted to try out my new Models Own Pro shades.

Not very Valentines but very spring? :)

Sorry for the lack of clean up - by time i got something i liked i was too tired and lazy to clean up before photographing plus i was worried id smudge it!

Datyorkloves NAC - Day 4 - Love Letter

I really struggled for inspiration here. I am sick already of pink and red, so I decided to go for blue. I went for the literal Love letters - L O V and E.

Simple, but I did get to try out my mini striper for first time. Quite pleased with it :) 

Undies are Sally Hansen - Calypso Blue and LOVE is Zoya - Purity.

Datyorkloves NAC - Day 3 - Kisses

Been so busy this week so only just had chance to do these last night.

I really quite like them, although I caught one around 5 minutes after I photo'd them and it took off almost the full nail, so they came off very quickly.

Really glad I picked up KBShimmer's Berry Xmas.. its beautiful <3

I used Zoya Storm for the hugs and kisses :)

Datyorkloves Valentines NAC - Day 2 - Hearts

I am not a heart person! One i cant paint them on my nails and two theyre just too girly for me! So i tried to do Leopard Print hearts which i'd seen somewhere before but the end result is very loosely 'hearts' - but i'm trying!

If you look closely, the leopard spots are supposed to be heart shaped.. not exactly what was in my head but not too bad i hope? :)

DatYorkLoves - Valentines Nail Art Challenge - Day 1 - Red or Pink

I know I'm already in a challenge, but I REEEEEEEALLY want to try this one too! It's only two weeks and I might not get them all in on the correct days but they'll be in the right order and they'll be done by the 14th :)

 

First of all, I want to thank Dahlia at DatYorkLoves for hosting the nail art competition. I'm sure my nails would not be as colourful without her inspiration!So I went for pink.. Pink and Red are both the thinnest colour collections I have - I really do not have  very many colours at all - the ones I do have are only ever visited for Nail Art and I rarely love them enough to keep them on for long. Let's see how these ones go :)

I used Sally Hansen - Lavender Cloud and OPI Pedal Faster Suzi.
