Flowers for Mom Nail Art Challenge - Day 4 - Sunflowers

Good evening all!

I'm here again with another installment for this challenge - Sunflowers. I love sunflowers, theyre so beautiful. I have great memories of growing these as a child with my mum, so theyre a perfect flower for me to do for this challenge. 

Also I think that the colour of sunflowers really just cheers you up - how can you feel down, sad etc when a big yellow flower is smiling back at you? :)

I wasn't sure about these when they were finished.. but they're definitely growing on me! No pun intended! Only one photo as well as I was too impatient to photograph and I caught one on the desk edge and took the sunflower clean off :( sad times!

Datyorkloves NAC - Day 5 - Lace

This was sooo hard! I tried about 5 different attempts and ended up settling on this as i had had enough haha!

Mini Mani colours and some Polish from a Different Dimension!

So i've not blogged about any of my mani colours yet. Today was day 7, and i got "Cutie Pie" a pale, girly pink creme. I am not a fan of these shades - a) because of my skin tone and b) because they take so many coats to perfect! This was 4 coats and it still wasn't perfect. It really reminds me pf the Essie colours - mademoiselle, muchi muchi etc.. I'm not a big fan of them either!

So I took that off and applied Day 6 again - "Cabaret". This is a beautiful plummy purple which applied well with only 2 coats needed. I decided to spice this up a bit - this is Different Dimension - Honesty Feels A Lot Like Mean on my ring finger. Think I'm in love! Pic is without a topcoat.

What do you think? I really love both shades, I've tried Honesty Feels A Lot Like Mean on a few shades but this is the first i've liked!

Xmas Nail Art

So, although i've been opening my mini mani month, i havent found anything incredibly inspiring yet to rave about. So i decided to do some xmassy nail art.

I have no proper tools - no special brushes, no real dotting tools. I did this with 4 different polishes - Different Dimension - My Bear, China Glaze - Glittering Garland and Ring in the Red , and LA Colors - White Art Deco polish.

Being not very talented at polish pr art work, this took me awhile but i am proud of the result! Xmas puddings with brandy sauce and a sprig of holly :)

Different Dimension - My Bear

My Different Dimension order came today! I ordered 3 of Missi's beautiful polishes - Doppelganger, Honesty Feels A Lot Like Mean and My Bear.

I've got My Bear to show you now. A gorgeous chocolate brown shimmer mixed with a fine medium pink glitter.

My Bear is the first indie polish to catch my eye that isn't jam packed with all shapes and sizes of glitter. I wanted something simple, elegant but still glittery that I could wear for work. My Bear fits all the above, and its near enough neutral so I can wear with most of my clothes. I am so pleased with it, I really can't find the words!

Application was brilliant. Small round brush, nice consistency of the polish meant that i only needed two coats for full coverage. Pictures show two coats and 1 layer of top coat.
