ER31DC - Day 19 Galaxy Nails

Day 19 tiiiiiiime :) Galaxy Nails!

I've done these before but it doesn't matter how many times I do them, they always feel new! I do always try different colours - this time I used Illamasqua Faux Pas and a dark navy blue Sally Hansen I can't remember the name of. I really quite like the result!

What do you think? This could be my favourite colour combo I've tried so far!

Don't forget to check out everyone else's galaxy nails!

Flip / Flop February Challenge - Day 18 - Galaxy / Rhinestones

Today I went for Rhinestones!

This is one of my favourite Sephora by OPI's - Read My Palm, which I got in the Tinsel Town set.

I actually had some studs from Born Pretty Store on my accent nails,  but as I lost some, instead of repainting I decided to 'refurbish' my mani as it was only a day old.

Here I have triangular clear rhinestones (£0.99 for the whole wheel from ebay) around 1 gold stud which like I said, are from Born Pretty Store.

Today I went for Animal Print. I see these all the time on the different facebook pages etc that I follow, but I've never felt the urge to try them myself. So i decided to only try it out as an accent nail - I'm actually really happy with the result and going to continue wearing it for work :) Colours used - Sephora by OPI - Read My Palm (my trusty colour!) LA Colors - White, Frost French Floozie - Black.

Datyorkloves Valentines NAC - Day 2 - Hearts

I am not a heart person! One i cant paint them on my nails and two theyre just too girly for me! So i tried to do Leopard Print hearts which i'd seen somewhere before but the end result is very loosely 'hearts' - but i'm trying!

If you look closely, the leopard spots are supposed to be heart shaped.. not exactly what was in my head but not too bad i hope? :)

Sephora by OPI - Tinsel Town Swatches - Part 1

So I decided to swatch a few of the polishes that the OH brought me back from the US. There was so much choice - it was hard to figure out what to try first!

I decided to try the ones from the bottom row first.

Here I have Just A Little Dangerous on my index and middle finger (2 coats) and same on my ring finger, with one coat of Justa' Pinch of Glitter. There is 2 coats of this alone on my little finger. This has photo'd almost black - but is a rich grape purple in real life. Don't know whats going on with my camera atm but I'm struggling with some of these colours to give you a real representation! Justa' Pinch of Glitter is a dark metallic silver glitter, with microfine and slightly larger glitter in the mix. No dabbing necessary, went on like a regular polish - definitely for use as a topper - shame as I had hoped it would layer well but I'm not fussed on the end result - nowhere near as sparkly as the indies I have.

Here I have 2 coats of Leotard Optional on all fingers, with 2 coats of Merry Me over the top of my ring finger. This was an unusual combination for me, but it really grew on me. I love it! Application for both was fine - drying time was excellent - only 2-3 minutes per coat. I have no topcoat on here, and I am impressed with how shiny the finish is.

And finally here I have Read My Palm. This is a gorgeous darker mint green and I have kept this on as my work mani. 2 coats, lovely application and shine once dry. Like all the ones so far, dry time was good.

I have embellished these slightly with some 2mm square studs from Born Pretty Store on my ring fingers. Think it adds a little something extra and was really simple to add them on, but I think it looks good now its finished :)

Do you have / like any of these? I definitely think my favourites so far are either Just A Little Dangerous (unusual as I am not a purple fan) or Read My Palm.

New Mani

So I just HAD to test out some of the new Sephora by OPI polishes that my wonderful OH brought me back from America. Although there were plenty to choose from, these three caught my eye straight away as I had been trying to find something to wear under my new Cagedbird Nail Lacquer - Electric Angel.

So below you can see the final mani - I had two accent nails - my ring finger has Thyme for a Mani on it, my middle finger has Break a Legwarmer and all my other nails have I Don't Bite. All have two coats apart from Break a Legwarmer which was surprisingly a one-coater! All went on fine with no issues - lovely consistency, good drying time and the brush is nice. They then all have one coat of Electric Angel, and a coat of Rimmel Pro Wear top coat.

Electric Angel is fantastic - Cagedbird Lacquers are one of my favourite indie polishes - they have gorgeous labelling with the dainty white and gold bow sticker with caged bird detail, and clear printed labels. They also have beautiful little bottles with a heavy base so they're less easy to knock over I find :) The consistency is great, and unlike many indie polishes, it is thin enough to brush on like a regular polish. I do dab a little afterwards to move glitters about but there is definitely the right amount of glitter - not too much, not too little and you don't have to fish about for them in the bottle.

Sephora by OPI - I Don't Bite is interesting. In all the photos it appears to be a shimmery purple grey. The bottle also has a purple grey tinge to it. In shade it is much more steel grey, but I love both looks with Electric Angel over it.

If you love Cagedbird Lacquer as much as I do, then her shop is now open - she has also just stocked up with her new Valentine's inspired lines. Take a look - they're so beautiful! All her polishes are 3 Free and are hand mixed.

I love my fiancé!

My fiancé has been away in Boston for the past week - felt like i'd lost half of myself - was so excited for him coming home today!

He's currently sleeping off his jetlag on the sofa so I thought I would show you the wonderful present he bought me!

Couldn't believe it! Over the moon :) Sephora by Opi - Tinsel Town.

Top row - I'm Wired, Already Famous, A True Romantic, What Aura Gonna Wear?, And a Cherry on Top, S-Age Is Just A Number, I Think I Cayenne, Read My Palm.

Bottom Row - Justa' Pinch Of Glitter, Just A Little Dangerous, I Don't Bite, Thyme For A Mani, Meet Me At The Disco, Leotard Optional, Merry Me, Break a Leg Warmer.

Can't wait to swatch them all!
